"Ageing most certainly shouldn't be viewed as a negative part of life. Our experiences will yield memories, wisdom, grace and confidence; how wonderful that we are given these gifts."

I have always had some level of interest in skincare, body health and mind balance. I believe that they are intrinsically connected.
I absolutely love my 'job'. I would say it's my passion. It doesn't worry me when the media or general public labels cosmetic medicine as vain or ego-driven. Because I don't believe it, and hopefully, as you either meet me in the clinic or become a reader of my blog, you will start to understand that adding non-surgical treatments, skincare, and in-clinic treatments to your health regime can be holistic, empowering and positive.
They say 40 is the new 50, and I couldn't agree more. But it's not just about how we "look." We are integrally different from women of the same age, even 20 years ago. We're moving, creating, inspiring, living, dreaming, 'leaning in', finding our passion, finding the time, and living our crazy lives. We are reinventing our life paths! And it's definitely not just about "looking younger."
It's about feeling soft and fresh no matter what your age.
It's about being vibrant.
It's about our outer selves, reflecting our energy and passion for life.
Personally? I was married at 38 and had my beautiful daughter at 40. I have travelled. I have put things on hold. I have pursued a career. I am very proud of those things, and I wouldn't change a moment. But one thing is for sure: my life at 60 will be different from my Mothers and worlds away from Hers. Ultimately, I, too, am endeavouring to be healthy on the inside - and vibrant on the outside. For me, for my family and for my children.

"Who else" am I? I am a qualified yoga and meditation teacher, and my husband and I own a 20-staff business in Burdekin. I support my extended family as much as I can, and travel and music are my passions.
A word about my blog. Most entries will be about cosmetic procedures, but I will deviate. I will discuss mind/body healing, food and diet, yoga, meditation, and other ways to age well. I am on my own journey, and maybe you can relate to it, too.
As Aristotle said, "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." I follow leaders and new entrepreneurs in the worlds of beauty, cosmetic medicine, skincare, and mind-body health, to name a few, on social media. When I have the time, I love to read similar blogs for inspiration.
My intent when consulting or via my blog, social media, and web page is to authentically supply my patients with knowledge, support, and care, encouraging them to heal, renew, and protect their skin, nourish and strengthen their bodies, and enrich and quiet their minds.
Ageing most certainly shouldn't be viewed as a negative part of life. Our experiences will yield memories, wisdom, grace, and confidence; how wonderful it is that we are given these gifts. Supporting our skin, body, and mind throughout our lives takes effort, knowledge, and commitment. But when you know how and have the tools, it is more rewarding than you'll ever know. How you age well will encompass whatever feels right for you. You are in control.
My one piece of advice? Do something! If for no other reason except that you deserve to shine.
